Very good lens in Lenses

This is the second used lens I have bought from this seller. It came exactly as they described. I've used this lens several times and I really love it.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Safety

Value for money SLR lenses

I needed a fast, ultra wide-angle lens for work, but I couldn't afford the newer versions, so I went with the original. The original isn't the best in terms of sharpness or distortion at the edges, but for the money it gets the job done until I can afford to upgrade to the latest version, which is much better.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Can hurt

Life is so much better with this lens

I met the seller with some shipping issues but I have to admit that she (? at least she looked like her) sent me a great item Has. This lens is ideal for shooting indoors in low light when you need to cover the entire room. Very reliable! (This is my photo so I can share.)

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • No insurance

Mandatory for weddings

I am a professional photographer and need an ultra wide fast zoom for situations where space is limited. This happens more often at weddings than you might think. I always use Canon prime lenses for their excellent sharpness, but I was very impressed with the sharpness across the frame with this 16-35mm lens, even at f/2.8. I'm thrilled to have added it to my Canon lens arsenal, it has helped me capture full length shots in tight spaces where I used to shoot waist high. Just make sure to keep…

Pros
  • Same as all others so far
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Everything I expected.

I've been trying to buy this lens for a long time. I had a Tamron 16-34, my main "walking" lens, that broke on a recent trip. This lens performed "well" and was much cheaper than any Canon lens. Unfortunately, this lens wasn't possible to repair, so it was time to shop. The UWA lens has several options that are difficult to distinguish. Ultimately, I chose this lens because of the extra aperture (f/2.8 versus f/4.0 on some other lenses) and reputation for quality. I bought mine used here at…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • old

Not much comes away from my camera.

**UPDATE** Canon has released version II of this lens which is also available from Revain. That's about $300 more than this lens and it's touted as solving some very small problems that pros really care about. The new version has an 82mm front aperture versus 77mm on this lens. This means that if you have a 70-200mm "L" like me, you can switch filters between lenses, but not between the new 16-35II. which has a larger front opening. As for me, I didn't notice any of the small details they were…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Nothing here
