The product is really good, I'm glad I bought it.

The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM worked for a very long time, but it was time to take it in for repair and borrowed a Canon EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM as a replacement. The picture is comparable. Yes, it’s darker, but still I don’t usually shoot at a fully open aperture, so it doesn’t matter. But lighter, which is a plus. And twice as cheap, which is also a serious plus for many. The only negative noticed in the comparison is a weaker stabilizer. IMHO, a step or two. But again, it becomes…

Pros
  • Weight, focal length, picture
Cons
  • Stabilizer

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

Filmed EF-S 18-55 IS STM and EF-S 24 f2.8 STM. After a trip to Rome, after going through the photos of 3,300 photos, only two were impressive. No, but almost all the photos were good, better than the previous Canon G1X camera, especially pleased with the 24 f2.8 STM lens. But looking at the pictures of the familiar EOS 600+EF 24-105 f4 USM, I decided to purchase a new EF24-105 since it is lighter (525g and not 670g like USM). In general, the quality of photos has improved significantly. At a…

Pros
  • On the crop, the photo quality is very good.
Cons
  • After Kit(a) the lens(24-105stm)+EOS 100D seems to be heavy. Well, the wide angle disappears.

Normal quality, you can use it.

I bought it for 15 thousand BU, since I switched from crop to FF, I needed to urgently and inexpensively buy a standard zoom. For the price of a new one, you can buy BU 24-105 / 4, or add 10 thousand for 24-70 / 2.8 of the first version of BU. The lens is made specifically to be put as a kit with 6d in order to reduce the price of the kit. This is the only NOT L zoom for FF with standard FRs.

Pros
  • STM drive is better than nothing, but worse than USM. Suitable filter and hood from Elka. convenient focal lengths.
Cons
  • I would not buy new for 28 thousand. Very, very, very soapy, reminded me of 18-55 in this indicator. Weak aperture, strong vignetting, strong distortion (barrel). the trunk dangles and leaves (even a latch was invented for this). The focus ring is electronic.

My goto lens - love it!

Canon EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens I use it to take beautiful pictures for my technical channel to do on YouTube. It's a well built and large piece of glass. I use it with a Canon 80D and this is my goto lens.

Pros
  • Optical Image Stabilizer provides up to four levels of exposure compensation. Focal length and maximum aperture 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6
Cons

Often overlooked full frame option

Bought this lens for my Canon 6D. I liked it very much. Better picture quality than pro reviews. Also slightly lighter than the f4 version and quieter. Colors looked very good and sharpness was good in the center across the range, maybe a bit softer in the corners but that's not a problem. Worked very well for portraits and casual outings. Would have kept it but due to the size opted for a very good Canon 24-85mm copy. I don't like carrying heavy gear!

Pros
  • New 7 group zoom lens offers a convenient, compact design and excellent optical performance
Cons
  • Expensive

Choosing between this and the f/4L Gen 1? Choose this lens!

I recently saw a great price on this used lens and jumped at it. I spent weeks deciding between this lens and the first generation f/4L lens of the same focal length. Weather protection isn't important to me and I'm a hobbyist so I didn't want to spend more on a second gen or f/2.8L iteration. The sharpness with this lens is stable. The autofocus is faster than any other glass I own, so I'm confident I made the right choice in choosing this new lens over a used f/4L with much older parts. The…

Pros
  • Round aperture (7 blades) gives a nice soft background
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
