A great standard zoom lens for your Canon body.

We use this lens (we have two of them) on the Canon 70D and 7D Mk II. We have a Sigma 18 up to 250mm f/3.5- 6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens which has been increasingly disappointing as a general purpose walking lens. The images seemed somehow flat and lifeless. This Canon lens is much better. The images seem to jump at you. This can be because the Canon camera body recognizes the lens and then applies corrections to the image. EF-S 10-135 IS STM vs. EF-S IS nano USM. Confused? I also.

So now I have two new EF-S 18-135 US nano USM lenses. and a new EF-S 18-135 IS STM. (long story another time) These models are very confusing as the nano USM is often more expensive and sold as an upgrade. Both lenses weigh the same, the STM is slightly lighter. The barrel diameter of the STM is slightly smaller, although the lenses and optics are the same size. Both have metal mounting rings, manual zoom locks, IS and AF.
