Canon PGI 220 Combo Pack Triple Review

Two of the three cartridges had broken tabs so they will not work in the printer as they will not stay in place. As a previous reviewer noted, I should have checked the cartridges when I bought them as the return period was long past.

I have tried third party inks and will stick with Canon even though they are significantly more expensive. I tried refilling the cartridge but Canon added some kind of chip that needs to be reset in order for the printer to recognize that the cartridge is full. I couldn't figure out how to reset the chip, so the printer thinks it only has the amount of ink left before I refilled it. I just love that I can go to Revain and buy the ink I need for my printer, LESS EXPENSIVE and a lot more convenient than the "department stores" around the corner . I have purchased this item several times and it has always arrived sealed in three Canon boxes. This time it arrived in a ziplock bag. Each tank is sealed with something akin to Canon genuine shrink wrap, so they're almost certainly genuine. I didn't want to risk buying another brand (or refilling another brand). However, these ink cartridges are expensive and just a few changes to your print settings can double the lifespan. At normal print settings, I noticed that the paper became soaked with ink and the cartridge ran out in no time. So I changed the print settings to "Grayscale" and "Quick Print". Outrageous ink cartridge prices in Australia prompted me to purchase several kits for my MP640 along with some other items I needed. in AC brand CLI-521 and PGI-520 cartridges are essentially the same. I always buy Canon ink carts from Revain as they always have the best price. There seems to be some confusion in the comments regarding the use of ink. If you print a lot every day, you'll get great results. If you're just printing a page or two three times a week, you're going to get terrible usage. The reason for this is that Canon printers go through a regular nozzle cleaning process that uses real ink to clean the nozzles. Leaving the printer off when not in use will reduce ink consumption.
