Canson 100511158 XL Series Watercolor Paper Bulk Pack for Wet and Dry Media, 90lb, 9x12, 500 Sheets Review

I forgot how light 90 lb paper is, but it's a lot lighter than I expected. It's great for hand lettering and fairly light washes. I haven't noticed much pilling and it takes color well. However, attempting to work wet-on-wet or mixing multiple layers of paint can result in warping. Even after it was reduced to a smaller size and sealed with duct tape, there was still quite significant deformation. This is great practice and student work at an amazing price.

Well I'm an aspiring watercolourist and would rather practice on something other than sheets. I also make my own hardcover watercolor sketchbooks and when I saw this I decided to give it a try. I was looking for an inexpensive watercolor paper to use for card making 140lb weight but I always used it still too heavy for what i wanted. It was the only thing I could find nearby.
