Bought because I decided to go back to my 2c hair after toasting my hair in high school. I will say that the smell is pleasant at first, but then this smell makes me sick. I also have Cantu Curling Cream and it was too much for my hair it made it super curly and spiky. This twist & lock gel is great. Use sparingly as it can seem a little messy unless you apply a small amount and then toss your hair like you're shampooing to distribute rather than try to coat with the product . It takes almost nothing from a jar to get great curls for the night, laid out with a kitchen towel or t-shirt on your head.

I started my natural hair journey (3B curls) and am trying to stay away from silicones, sulfates, etc. I was sad that I couldn't use it anymore. Love the smell. I changed my shampoo and conditioner to unscented (it's better for your hair) and I like to smell nice and I don't want to put perfume on my hair, that defeats the purpose.
