Works with Kettle Mr. Coffee Tea Maker

My Glass Kettle Decanter Mr. Coffee broke. I couldn't find a replacement so I ordered this one. Although it's a bit shorter than the Mr. Coffee, I remove the plastic cover and place it under the brewer. It works very well!

    • Acceptable
    Cons
    • Boring Packaging

    GOOD PITCHER FOR ICE TEA.

I love the glass jar and it was packaged very well for shipping. I feel like $33 is way too much for a replacement pitcher, but the ice maker cannot be used without a new pitcher. My old pitcher somehow got a small hole in the bottom and started cracking from there. Probably product defect.

    • Crumpled

Prone to breaking in the kitchen and dining room

Note the glass on this is very very thin. The kettle is great, but this jug can break even with normal use. Broke the command while stirring. Capresso cannot be exchanged - not covered by the warranty. And the cost of a jug is almost like buying a new car. Capresso's customer service response is not great.

    • Good product for the price

DO NOT BUY, don't do this, you will regret it!

The second pitcher and jumped like the first. I literally picked it up and heard a crack. I thought I was imagining it! $39 for a replacement that didn't last 4 months. The company was contacted and customer service said the jug was out of warranty. The glass is too thin and expensive to replace. NOT PROVIDED. Customer Service does not take action on current issues of which they are aware.

still fits the original lid and ice tea maker

Fits perfectly with my old lid and my old (original) ice tea kettle. Since only a tight fit would get the machine making iced tea, I was concerned that the new pitcher wouldn't "fit the bill". But it's wonderful! I ordered two and saved money knowing that someone in the house would end up banging the pitcher on my marble kitchen counter and breaking another one. A NOTICE. The glass sides of the jug appear to be thinner than the previous generation.

    Pros
    • Easy to use
    Cons
    • Lasts a long time

Stay away from this replacement jug!

Do not buy this item! Replacing a jug is expensive. This was the second jar that broke for me, it's very fragile. The second time I replaced the jug it broke when I pulled the lid slightly on the sides and the jug splintered. This glass is very thin. Another disadvantage is the cost of this replacement teapot. I can buy another teapot for less money than it would cost just to buy a replacement pot for this unit. I would settle for plastic pitchers that don't break. I bought a 3 liter Mr. coffee

    Pros
    • Best in its niche
    Cons
    • Low maintenance

Incredibly fragile pitcher construction; find another solution!

I'm not particularly picky about products and this is the second Capresso can to have broken under suspicious circumstances. I bought this pitcher to replace the pitcher that came with my Capresso ice tea maker. I really liked the ice tea maker, but one day when I was filling the pitcher with ice, the bottom just cracked. I assumed it was a design flaw or an accident, but even this replacement jug broke with normal use. I had just brewed a pot of tea and was adding some sugar when I heard a pop

Borosilicate is the best choice for Iced Tea

Borosilicate is just what you need. Even better than Pyrex for brewing fresh iced tea as the ultra-thin glass is tempered to withstand sudden intense heat. Don't worry about boiling your tea bags, and don't worry about lead glaze on stoneware. The lid of this pitcher is designed to fit under an ice tea maker like Mr Coffee. So notice that the lid has two holes, one for pouring and one in the middle with a lip to press on the bottom. Filter basket in the car. So there is no airtight seal, but…

    Better than the original

I purchased this replacement after the tear in my original became too big for comfort. I've found that the bottom can crack if you put it in too hard or if you hold it in the fridge door and hit it when you take it out of the bin. It needs to be handled carefully as it is very thin, but you need to boil the water in a saucepan and then use a funnel to pour it into a heavy glass jug. It's a compromise between comfort and durability. The replacement unit arrived in a branded and illustrated box…

    • Dishwasher Safe: Easy to clean thanks to extra wide spout
