I used this to unscrew the Toyota head bolts.

Requiring a double hex, this Toyota cap screw is also known as a triangular or 12-point star. That's it. Of course you can use a 10mm hex which will still work, but you need it for a 1/2" drive and a long brake rod or web and you can still pull the bolt off. yes it is so hard This 12mm triple square is the only one. Very tight on the inner end of each cap screw; no game at all. All ten head screws removed.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Legacy Model

Great tool. Perfect for my 2010 Jetta's rear brake pads. A little tip though, if you don't have a decent 1/2" breaker you'll need to get one to get those bolts out. The higher the floor, the better the access. I made mine on stands, but put them as high as possible to give the jackhammer room to "swing". A lifting platform would have been ideal as it was difficult to operate the levers only from the stands. I did, but it was work. The tool itself held up well and stayed in the bolt.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great tool, best in custom powerheads

Great job. I used this tool to remove the rear brake calipers from my 2006 VW Jetta. No doubt it will take 100 years or more. For those of you replacing rear brake pads for the first time, read on. The rear caliper pistons on either side of your VW Jetta do not compress backwards like regular calipers do. There is no need to purchase an expensive compression tool to compress the piston back to the closed position. You can do this by simply pressing on the plunger with an inexpensive plunger…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
