We recently purchased this hole saw for our workshop and have been very pleased with its performance. The carbide tipped teeth make cutting through materials like wood and metal a breeze. The saw is durable and has a long lifespan, making it a great investment for any handyman or professional tradesperson. However the saw is a bit on the expensive side, so it may not be the best option for those on a tight budget..
Pros
Long-lasting durability and strength due to the carbide-tipped design.
Cons
Requires more effort to maintain and resharpen compared to regular hole saws.
I was drilling through an old ceiling with a layer of plaster, then wire mesh, another layer of plaster and then a plank of wood made to look like a wooden floor. I burned my first club on the first hole. Got a carbide tip and made 20 holes in the Easley. The end was still tough. Holes cut easily and cleanly. The bottom layer of the ceiling was sheathed with drywall. The drill that cut through the hard layers also cut through the drywall layer cleanly.
