Prevents color bleeding when using hand dyed yarn.

These sheets were recommended to me by a knitter friend of mine after hand-dyed red yarn ran into white yarn on my hand-knitted merino wool socks. They are well suited for hand washing in the sink or in the washing machine. I use them with any fiber or fabric. Hot water or room temperature. Sometimes I had to use more than one sheet in the sink or in the washing machine. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Washing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Never wash without

I can't believe how much these little sheets are helping. I no longer worry about pairing a light shirt with a dark one. These little towels look like a dryer but are designed to be washed. Just throw one away and your clothes will keep the color they should be. No color goes from dark to lighter colors. Best of all, they're inexpensive and a box lasts a month or more.

Pros
  • Health & Home
Cons
  • Available in white only

Prevents color bleeding on a freshly sewn quilt

I usually prewash fabrics before making a quilt to prevent it from bleeding into the finished quilt and to prevent shrinkage of the finished quilt prevent product. Other quilters find it easier to work with unwashed fabric and wash the quilt after it's finished, so I decided to give it a try. This particular quilt was from a set and included multiple fabrics in black, red and dark green, as well as gold and cream. So after reading on a quilting blog that people use color pickers when washing…
