I used this gate at the base of the steps to the pool. There is no rust yet but reading the reviews this seemed like an issue. I turned the gate upside down so the stoppers were down to keep the rain from getting into the bars. I only gave it four stars because the clasp isn't as easy to use as it could be.

I installed this gate at the top of the stairs to the house to keep the dog from walking over the fence. Installation took about 30 minutes including adding an extra piece to make it wider. I have a weimaraner dog and she is very clever at opening the gate, this one is perfect as you really have to lift the lock to open and close it which she hasn't figured out yet. Hard wearing and should last for years!

I'm very skeptical about a good rating. I ordered the first time as a calculated risk. Not a bad price for an expensive deck, I wanted more than 7x the original production with the fitment. It took 30 minutes and looks amazing. I ordered another one for the other side. One star down because one of the eyeball screws had a jagged edge and was bleeding my finger. Can help the company to do quality control and reduce the weight of the gate, it is too light.

external gates, apparently, speak badly of rust. It seemed to have the best reviews on that aspect. I also needed a gate to close the wide staircase. It should be strong, not stretchy. I don't want to risk getting hurt or losing my puppy. I also needed a gate that didn't encourage climbing. The vertical arrangement of the slats is positive. I just wish it was a bit bigger as my pup will probably grow up to jump over it. But it was the best solution for our needs.

When this gate was received many of the pre-drilled holes on the gate had what appeared to be missing or chipped paint and corrosion. I find that the production of this product, mainly welds and paint quality, is pretty bad. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to return the gate or see if these parts can be replaced. It just seems that for the money you're paying for the paint, it doesn't feel like the high quality exterior gate powder coating I'm familiar with.

This gate is absolutely superb. It's well built, robust and exceeded our expectations. We installed it on our patio and to our great delight the company provided indoor and outdoor equipment. Installation was very easy, only 4 screws to install and 2 set screws to adjust the width. We hired them to replace a gate that we paid twice as much for and they didn't even come close to matching the quality or ease of installation of the gate. These gates will last for years.
