Description of Cardone 13 2863 Select Master Cylinder

Only O.E.-quality seals and cups are used to ensure O.E. performance and reliability. All rubber components meet S.A.E. specifications. Bores meet critical micro-finish specifications to eliminate pitting and corrosion, a cause of premature failure. Castings feature a premium protective coating to minimize corrosion and extend unit life. Seals are temperature-cycled from -30°F to +220°F to ensure reliable performance during your daily commute and plastic reservoirs are vacuum-tested to ensure they are leak free. Mounting hardware and bleeding kits are supplied with every unit to make the installation and bleeding process faster and easier (where applicable).

Direct Replacement - Parts

This was a direct replacement for my 1999 Ford Ranger. I bled the car's master cylinder using the bleed kit that came with it. Hooked up the brake lines and got a good pedal. It's been running for a few weeks and a few hundred miles now and it's working as it should.

Pros
  • Master Cylinder
Cons
  • So So

Extra hole that needed plugging

This part fit and worked but there is an inexplicable extra hole and to get it working I had to go to the hardware store and find it Correct size screw to put in the hole to plug it. Although this part is sold for multiple uses, a screw must be included unless an additional hole is required.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

While not a problem, it did help fix my ranger!

I could spend less and get more work done, but $5 savings and an hour plus dirty work that might get mixed up? No, I have grandchildren to devote this time to. I don't need them, the old one started to wear out. I bought this, replaced it, then the amp. those idiotic dashboards.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Almost OK

Never restored by Orielly Auto Parys!

Old died. As a last resort, I paid $93 for one of Orielly's auto parts. Certainly converted. It took 2 weeks, took advantage of their lifetime warranty. It lasted a month. The third lasted 3 weeks. This was half the price and NEW, not rebuilt. 6 months old and still going strong. thanks amazon
