Description of Cardone 20 7920 Remanufactured Domestic Steering

As a remanufactured Original Equipment part, this unit guarantees a perfect vehicle fit. All critical components (cam packs, spool valves, etc.) are triple-tested to ensure product reliability; Units are supplied with 100% tested and calibrated pressure relief valves. All units are built with 100% new O-rings and premium-grade HNBR seals to prevent leaks; HNBR does not break down at high temperatures like conventional seal material. Shafts are surfaced to precise specifications to eliminate premature seal wear and extend pump life; Final pump assembly is computer-tested to measure pressure, bypass, fluid flow, valve operation, steering effort and noise to ensure reliable performance. Our remanufacturing process is earth-friendly, as it reduces the energy and raw material needed to make a new part by 80%.

Bought as a replacement.

The price was better than my local auto parts store. The pump arrived as expected and works fantastic. It's nice to be able to turn the steering wheel again without starting the engine!

Reservoir covered with black and gritty oil residue

This unit could have had a properly working pump, but the reservoir was filled with dark, gritty oil residue. I had no intention of installing it and contaminating my new oil as well as the rest of the steering gear. The photo shows the remains on paper towels. Looking into the tank with a flashlight, the matter was decided. He was back in the box and on his way back. I think I'll buy a kit and rebuild the one I removed - it was leaking around the tank gasket but otherwise worked fine. At least
