Description of πŸ’ͺ Remanufactured Power Steering Pump (Cardone 21-5349) - Reservoir Not Included

As a remanufactured Original Equipment part, this unit guarantees a perfect vehicle fit. All critical components (cam packs, spool valves, etc.) are triple-tested to ensure product reliability; Units are supplied with 100% tested and calibrated pressure relief valves. All units are built with 100% new O-rings and premium-grade HNBR seals to prevent leaks; HNBR does not break down at high temperatures like conventional seal material. Shafts are surfaced to precise specifications to eliminate premature seal wear and extend pump life; Final pump assembly is computer-tested to measure pressure, bypass, fluid flow, valve operation, steering effort and noise to ensure reliable performance. Our remanufacturing process is earth-friendly, as it reduces the energy and raw material needed to make a new part by 80%.

Works the way power steering should work.

Taught my kid how to fix a car, dad will win. Halfway through the install it turned out that the leak was probably coming from the .99 cent o-ring and not the pump, but it installed anyway.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • A long time ago

Excellent rebuild quality

Great for 2005 MDX. The bearing has been burned in and the pump is quiet. This pump is painted black instead of silver like the OEM pump.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not all will fit

then he began to make a terrible noise. Should be replaced

Worked about 2 days then it started making horrible noises. Needs to be replaced so waste of money. It took me a week to call a mechanic for installation, so I "missed the return window". you have been warned

Pros
  • Working well
Cons
  • No instructions

Defective power steering pump during installation.

Professionally fitted to my 2005 Acura MDX, filled the tank to the recommended level, started the car to pump oil. The pump started whining, the mechanic noticed a leak at the top and bottom of the pump seam. I spun the wheel left to right and saw that it was bubbling.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Functionality

so far so good - steering system

had to replace the original due to terrible noise and leaks. I had some doubts about buying a used refurbished one but decided to give it a try because of the price difference. My Honda runs fine, no more noise or leaks. The mechanic said it was a good deal and I probably saved $50 off what he would have paid.

Pros
  • great for me
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Died within a month. Had it been professionally installed with all the extra work (flushing fluids, new filter etc). Also lost a pulley and belt when he died. Installing a new pump, pulley and belt cost me an additional $720. Big mistake trying to save a hundred dollars. Hopefully someone learns from my mistake.

Pros
  • Very good price
