Started leaking after 1 year

The valve fitted my 1968 Mercury Cougar and worked fine for about a year then it started leaking. It's not worth the money if it only lasts a year.

Excellent replacement Control Valve

This is a very good replacement valve at an amazing price compared to Resto warehouses. Little did I know my Cougar's front end could improve so much.

Bought one from Amazon Warehouse. threads up.

Bought from Amazon warehouse. The internal thread where it enters the tie rod is not deep enough, about 1/2 inch more, it should go through. Instead, I rebuilt my stash and can later take it to the machine shop to refuel.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Out of fashion
