This product is as good as others in terms of absorbency, but the darker color makes it difficult to see what needs cleaning.

This material is MUCH softer than standard pine litter, has no sharp pieces of wood to pierce the ham and is much easier to clean. My Syrian Hamster loves it. Now this is the only bedding I will use.

We use this bed for our hamster. It's colorful and fluffy and seems to keep her warm in the winter (65 years in our house). She likes to pack it in her plastic needle. We also give her pieces of paper towels and small pieces of cloth to help with the insulation. Bedding absorbs moisture well. We change all linens approximately every week for up to 10 days.

This is a great soft bed linen at a great price. Nice that he arrives at the front door. As for the amount you get, I was wondering if this was actually false advertising. The packaging says 12.3 litres, but it EXPANDS to 23 litres. It's compressed. I'm fine and prefer a smaller bag that stretches. Inflates nicely. If uncompressed, it would fill a 23 liter sack.

I absolutely love it. I've used it on rabbits and hamsters and it works much better than wood shavings. Removes horrible odors that can accompany pets. Hamsters love it too. Usually when I remove their cages they just move their chips and then go back to their wheel. When I put this thing in their cage, they played with it for hours. They were like children playing in the snow. The rabbit just rode in it.

For colored bedding. You can definitely see where the hamster is doing its thing, so taking it out will be easy. That's a lot of bedding, my hamster tends to pile everything to sleep. It's much better and safer to use than the wood chip bedding we used before. Good order control. Edit————— Natural/brown bedding with wood smells awful after the hamster has done its thing, no cleaning up. I bought it because it was cheaper. Would give it 2 stars out of 5. BUY MULTICOLOR!

I've been enjoying this product for 6 months but the last batch was terrible. The pieces were big and hard. It was like throwing rocks at my hedgehog basket. I didn't appreciate the linen change or neglect of quality control with this Carefresh product. Makes me worried about ordering this product again. Will it be the soft and colorful product I expected or will it be a poor quality product I will use? I don't think I'll risk it. I'm sorry, not sorry, Carefresh. You lost a customer.

I have ordered this bedding twice already. When it first arrived it was perfect. No damage, fluffy, easy to take out of the package. The second arrived intact, but the bedding itself was stiff and stuck together. I thought I could just take it and separate the linens and maybe it will get softer, but I was wrong. I don't know if I really got old packaging or if something happened to the bedding during manufacture. My dwarf hamster didn't seem too fond of this bed either. I may buy this product…
