Color not as expected

The color of the cherry compote is much darker and much rustier than in the photo. The yarn also seems to stretch a little more easily than some. However, the yarn is soft and easy to knit with, and the weight is average (4). I would use this yarn again although I wouldn't buy it here due to color confidence issues.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Ok

Company is Rip Off

The yarn was exactly what I wanted. The impression of the purchase was depressing. The item was listed at a ridiculous price and said there were only 2 left. I needed this yarn to finish the piece so I added both to my cart. When I went to check he said it was sold out. But then the same product from the same company led me and now they magically had 8 available for almost $2 a skein. Revain should not allow this. Talk about bait and switches!

The only complaint I have is that I didn't really like the color scheme, but it's on me; As a newbie to crocheting, I didn't really know the difference between motley yarn and striped yarn. The price is wild too: cakes are cheaper at Michaels or Joanne, but I prefer quick delivery here, so it's on me again. However, I liked that it was soft enough with a certain suppleness that it didn't sag or stay on my hook when I literally hit hooks. The crowd is quite decent, and I received from her a nice

Slightly uneven color and texture

I am crocheting an afghan fabric that used two Caron Bigcakes, so I bought two Toffee. The first large cake was excellent, very even and pleasantly colourful, with only one knot but otherwise an even texture. The spots were fun and quirky but didn't look random. The second cake is a different story. It all started well, and to continue the striping I had to make my own little haircut, which was easy to hide on this plaid, but soon all the paint puddles fell out and the color transitions were…
