WORKS AS INTENDED Fits spare

Installs in place of the old electric fuel pump and the bracket screws perfectly where I had the old pump. I had to add my own wires and cables, but that was pretty easy because I've done it all before. The pump came with all the parts needed for installation. Be careful when tightening the small pump screws on the bracket. I've seen some people take them off and one of mine may have done it. I'll make sure it doesn't fall off. I can hear it running but it's good on start up, I'll add someโ€ฆ

These little things should last!?

I barely tightened the screws holding it to the mount and they all ripped off before I could even press on the insulators. Can the manufacturer send me replacement screws or do I have to spend another $60 for 3 extremely weak screws? To update. I called Carter's gas pumps. They told me to email them a photo. I made another one of her letters and even copied it. No reply received. So I had to cut off the shoulder above the hex head and weld a 5/16" bolt to it to secure it. I am very disappointed

Nice pump that doesn't work.

I finally decided to install this pump. I had to make a mount. I bought a clear filter as the installation required a filter before the pump. The pump did not overflow during installation. Sometimes he would fill the filter and then see the air bubbles come back into the filter. Hardly stays idle. It turns off when you press the gas pedal. I installed this on a 1970 Ford truck. I wanted to get away from the mechanical pump, but I think I need to get back to her. The box the pump came in is notโ€ฆ

Not the best option for fuel pumps and accessories

I heard a lot of good things about these pumps so I bought one. The hardware that came with it was cheap. When tightening the nuts by hand, the fastening bolts broke off! Serious!? My pump is a bit noisy, but that could be because it's only attached to one of the three studs or because there's air left in it. It doesn't fill up either. I've read that it's self-priming, but that's not the case for me. It is installed under the tank and still does not start. I had to put gas in the hose, run theโ€ฆ

Works well. Not particularly impressed.

This pump works perfectly but does not match the specifications in the description. The pump delivered 7 psi static pressure when first installed, but after a day of use it was only delivering 4.5 psi static pressure. I installed this pump on my 330hp stock engine. 454ci. This engine should be using less than 30 gallons per hour when running at WOT. A free flow of 72 gallons per hour would be enough if the pump was actually delivering that much fuel. Fuel pressure fluctuates between 3 and 4 psi

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
