7psi idle 4psi driving (horrible)

got this installed on my 2000 cummins. Don't do this, this pump will take the VP44 psi to low levels. I have barrel on my 01 cummins and get 15 at idle and 9psi at 85mph, never went under 9. Anything under 7 can damage under 5 no doubt will kill your vp44, it costs $280 for a better pump.

Find another pump best in Fuel System

I bought these for my 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins 24v. If you don't have a faucet and nozzle set, don't plan to buy this pump. Any brass fuel fittings you come across are almost always clean. This pump is metric. That meant I had to buy Sae fittings and convert them to metric, which was a nuisance. Save time and buy a normal pump.

Cheap pump, but fits.

This pump fits my 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel engine but it is a cheap pump. The mounting screws were stripped before the manufacturer's recommended torque was reached (both the pump body and the screws are aluminum). I don't know how long this pump will last, but it currently sits on my truck and produces 14psi of fuel pressure (idle).

Do you know what type of fuel pump you have

Aside from the fact that my truck saw quite a bit of road salt and was a little crusty, the installation was almost painless. Aside from having to cut one of the old screws off the old one, everything worked fine. Just make sure you know what pump you need, whether it's an in-tank pump or a pump mounted on the driver's side of the unit. After doing some research, everything on my 2001 Dodge 2500 5.9L Cummins was tank mounted, but it was actually on the block. If you don't know, just chirp theโ€ฆ
