Wood Carving Tools Kit for Beginners, Kids - Whittling Knife, Spoon, Clay, Curved Blade, Fruit, Hook Knife Review

I was very happy to receive them. The packaging was perfect, very stylish and the quinces looked amazing. I started using them, but to my surprise, with moderate effort, the blade of the spoon knife snapped off immediately. This is really disappointing as it was exactly the kind of knife I really wanted. Straight blades are more common.

The blades are sharper than the new Stanley razor I used for the same wood. However, the handles on these things are gigantic! I know I can change that and have them custom made for my hands, which is good. They also only come in a box with tiny plastic blade covers that don't cover the razor sharp blades, so be very careful! We need to make a body and covers. I also have cut-free gloves that I recommend with these sharp tools. I could have used the Flexcut because the grips are reasonable, but

I liked the fact that they were exactly as they were sold. Nice, sharp and easy to hold, and each tool has a blade sheath as well as a nifty little pouch for all three knives. I use these tools to carve figures out of hardwood. However, during the first hour of hard work, the handle of the Sloyd knife fell loose. The knife part just fell out of the handle. Hit. I bought these for my 11 year old son and we started using them the day after they arrived. They arrived sharp and in good condition. The handles are comfortable and firm. We also purchased two beginner's guides which were invaluable in completing the "set" of knowing what to do with it. I also bought plain gloves for my son. Updated with more photos of things I've done with this set. It's my first time making spoons and I love the set. I went ahead and read some reviews. and noticed a pattern indicating the blades are dull. So I unknowingly assumed they were true. and boy was that a mistake.
