The blades are sharper than the new Stanley razor I used for the same wood. However, the handles on these things are gigantic! I know I can change that and have them custom made for my hands, which is good. They also only come in a box with tiny plastic blade covers that don't cover the razor sharp blades, so be very careful! We need to make a body and covers. I also have cut-free gloves that I recommend with these sharp tools. I could have used the Flexcut because the grips are reasonable, but it was $18 and well worth it. Haven't tried cutting them yet.
