After using these pens several times I am completely satisfied with this product. The mascara is bright and colorful and the brushes are soft and very easy to use. I am very new to these pens and had so much fun with them. The extra water brush is also nice and makes blending easier. Combined with the fact that Castle Art is such a caring company (they emailed me 3 times which is a bit redundant but I appreciate they wanted everything to be perfect) I couldn't help it than giving them 5 stars.

Good quality product, the tip of the brush is excellent until it breaks. The packaging is a bit standard, but the front panel design looks amazing. If a lighter version of the color is needed or desired, simply soaking in water will help. This doesn't completely erase the deep richness of the colors, as the more you use the color, the darker it gets. These brush pens are amazing. The first set I received had visible issues with the charge. One handle was actually broken and all the handles were dry. I contacted the seller and received a response within 24 hours. They sent replacements free of charge. The second set was amazing! Wet rich colors. The tips have soft bristles and are flexible enough to work with lines and lettering with a brush. This is a new company and they work on problems as they arise. A few things I would like to change…

The water handle rotates in the opposite direction than you would expect to open and fill with water. It's messy when you use it, and water drips from the rear water tank when squeezed to wet the tip. So practice a few times to see what happens before you ruin your drawing with water droplets where you don't need them. The pens themselves have very nice soft brushes, but the paint doesn't flow very quickly and doesn't work like watercolor brushes. So practice again. This is a great idea when…

The set contains a small booklet that explains in detail how to work with brushes. The colors are vibrant and blend easily with a water pencil. I've used them on a variety of papers and they work well on all surfaces but best on cold pressed watercolor paper. Each pen has a color-coded base so it's easy to find and sort, and the caps snap tightly.
