I read reviews that said it was difficult to separate, but there were tiny red tabs that made it fairly easy to separate. It stuck to my couches very easily and my cat hated them! It definitely stopped them from scratching around the corners. But my cat is such a bastard that she decided to just go to the middle of the sofa that isn't against the wall. I bought two packs to cover my back as well. But she's such an asshole. But now she has left it. ;-)

I peeled off the blue backing according to the instructions, this side did not stick to the chair at all. Tried to peel off the other side thinking I might have misunderstood the instructions. Finally, after about 5 minutes of trying, I was able to peel off the other side, causing the tape to ball up and stick to itself. I cleaned the chair thinking maybe it had too much fluff or wool or fluff on it and then I tried on a second piece and made sure I followed the directions. The shabby blue side

I bought new furniture and my 2 year old cat (who has NEVER scratched old furniture) thought she had new scratching posts! I ordered the tutorial tape ASAP and when it arrived I got to work attaching it to the furniture. Before I go any further, let me say that once I was able to peel off the sheets of tape, it stuck easily, just the right thickness, and best of all, the cat HATES it!
