This is a great pump, the last one I will have in my marine aquarium for many years. Comes with a range of attachments for every use.

I have this pump as a return pump in my canister filter. It moves a lot of water and has been working like clockwork for a few months.

The best hidden return pump secret for my tank. I've noticed the price has gone up over the last 4 years but overall for a 900gph+ water pump it does the job and is quiet. Minimal maintenance required.

Over the years I have used many different brands of pumps, from cheap to what are reputed to be the best in the business. None of them come close to the durability of Catalina Aquariums pumps. Trust me, I've been an experienced reefer since the early 90's.

I ordered this item for my aquarium sump because it had an adjustable flow. This model has no adjustable flow at all and the product description is wrong. I had to purchase a flow control valve to make it work for my use so it's not worth the extra cost compared to other pumps that are offered for less. Otherwise the quality of the pump is average.

I bought this to increase the flow to my pan. It has an automatic thermostat that turns off when it gets too hot and turns back on when it cools down. In 80 degree water that's 10 minutes. Either it has a bad self-cooling design or the thermostat is very sensitive. I don't want a filter that turns off for 5 minutes every 10 minutes. I'm 50/50 on whether to return it or use this feature as an aquarium wave generator. I prefer a strong current in my Freshwater 125 so every 10 minutes it gives a…
