🚘 Catalytic Converter for Subaru Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, and Saab 9-2X – High Flow, EPA Compliant, Direct-Fit (2006-2012) Review

Perfect fit. It's been on my car since I bought it. The error code I originally had didn't come back. The only thing is that the original shields that were on the old one don't fit the new one. I hope that won't be a problem. So far, so good. The quality is really good.

Matches our Subaru Outback as advertised and works well. However, before installing, check the inside of the tube and transducer! Unpacked and mounted on the car. Didn't go well. I took it off and found that a piece of wrapping paper had been stuffed into the converter. I had to remove all the ash in the converter. put it back on Works perfectly.

Disappointed, had to return it due to a leaking braided flexible hose.**Refresh**Very disappointed with this product at first. I installed the coil/distributor and immediately there was a rumble and an exhaust leak. The supplied gaskets were very cheap and the heat shield was poorly welded and loose. I replaced the gasket with the factory one, bent the heat shield so it wouldn't rattle, and started the car on the exhaust. The pounding just came back and got really bad. I put the car on a lift and the innards are dangling/rattling. No right of return for this part? This is a garbage product, I do not recommend it to…

I received this product and it looked and worked fine (no engine check) for about 2 months/2000 miles and now the converter is rattling again. This happened to my OEM, then it broke and clogged my center pipe leaving me with no power. I also had to buy a new mid tube and I'm afraid it will fall apart and do the same to the new mid tube. I'd like to replace as it's a manufacturer fault, but I can't get to AUTOSAVER88. So if you see this, I'd like a replacement, please. Many Thanks

Overall quality looks good. The existing heat shield assembly did not fit the new converter and it took some work to get it closer to size. I had to widen the holes for the oxygen sensors and wrestle with the details of the heat shield to get it closer. The biggest problem with the installation was that the distance between the three bolts on the converter exhaust pipe connection did not exactly match the flange on the existing exhaust pipe. . Initially the product was fine. Assembly was easy as everything fits together relatively well. I used different screws than the ones in the kit as they were very cheap. Also reused the bolts that go into the heads. Either way it started rattling after 5 months of good operation. Shortly thereafter the rattling stopped and I had very little strength left.
