Works great in my 2005 Nissan Xterra 6 cyl.

The installation is not for the faint-hearted, the old one can still be used! It's a method that's hard to spot, but once you see it, it becomes easy. Access and installation is from the side, remove the tire and plastic liner. The cat comes out and you save a thousand! To pull it out, you need to cut the front screws on the old one. This is a fairly complex study.

Perfect fit and check engine light still off after 500 miles.

I've heard people say this isn't suitable. I think it's just because they didn't solve the surrounding components. I loosened two sets of exhaust brackets and unscrewed the old one. After I took the old one off, it fit like a glove. It was tight and it wasn't easy to pull out the old one. I think other people cut the old one out and expect it to fit without loosening the rest of the exhaust. The flanges fit exactly on the Nissan flanges. No more leaks and no check engine light after 500 miles.

Xterra works great after installing these cats. There are no installation problems.

We bought both primary cats when my son's 2005 Nissan Xterra gave out 02 sensor and cat efficiency codes. When we removed the passenger kat we found that it had been shattered into pieces which were clogging the secondary kat. We installed these new crampons and the SUV works great. Excellent and inexpensive replacement for a cat. Take advantage of their absence and order new fuel/air ratio sensors and new 02 sensors.
