I'm a blacksmith and I like to try different products from time to time to see if there's something new I might like. This rasp is actually pretty good for being an unnamed brand. It is very similar to the Heller Legend red shaft which performs better in muddy and wet conditions. This rasp comes with a handle which I don't need as the handle doesn't fully cover the shaft leaving the arms of the rasp open to catch in my palm. I prefer Equithotics brand pens. I've cleaned 13 horses with this rasp
