Too Hard Seat - Seats and Saddles

I mounted this saddle on a single speed road bike and found it very uncomfortable. The material is a very hard plastic and doesn't flex much, so I didn't feel it absorbed road bumps well. I have a feeling it was more uncomfortable than the saddle that came with the bike so the search continues.

  • Great for a small home

Fantastic seat for the money.

Very comfortable to ride in this seat. Even for me, a heavy road cyclist, it was very comfortable. Soreness of the saddle is practically absent. I gave 4 stars because I wish it was made with a pad on top. This will be a 5 star seat. This seat works very well with good cycling shorts.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not fashionable

It is what it is - sport

This is a plastic seat with some curves. I like firmness. I feel like it gives way when I pedal and I have no problem with that. All stocks are different and if this one was a bit wider it would fit mine perfectly. A pair of soft shorts and I can ride in them for an hour or so. Obese people will love it, but so will I. Don't expect super cushioning from a narrow hard plastic seat, but my cool old vintage bike looks great in it and the seat doesn't bother me.

Not bad, not bad for sport

This is a hard plastic saddle so don't expect it to be comfortable. But if you're wearing lined cycling shorts, it's actually not that bad. My issue was that it had two small decorative plastic protrusions on the seat that kept coming off and digging into my ass. I ended up taking them off as they don't do anything functionally, but why were they there in the first place? For this reason, I actually did the return at Revain, but otherwise it was a decent saddle: cheap and light. He just didn't…

The seat of my cheese grater broke in half.

I bought this a few months ago because I thought it was a great idea. I've ridden it on several family rides and about a dozen technical trails. It's like riding a mountain bike while sitting on a cheese grater. If you don't wear at least soft shorts and then another pair of shorts over them, the seat will rub against your butt all day. I was about halfway through my ride last weekend when the seat broke in half. It's not much fun writing 5 miles of difficult technical limestone trails without…

  • A few little things

Not for mountain bike use.

Loved this seat but it broke. It says it can be used for mountain biking, but if you also ride it on soft trails it can break, which happened in my case. If it wasn't specified that it can be used for mountain biking I would have given it at least 4 stars, it was actually comfortable and very light. It broke where the rails attach to the back of the case on either side. I didn't realize it until my shorts started pinching and sagging. It probably could have been worse as it created jagged edges

Surprisingly comfortable; a little tuning tip

When I first saw and touched this seat, I thought it looked like a torture device. I was very skeptical of how it would feel, especially on long trips. But here I am, 30 days later, and I can tell you that it's significantly more comfortable than the old traditional custom seat it replaced, while being 100 grams lighter. The big surprise here is the steep tail, which you can easily nudge with the tail to get 5 or 6 more watts uphill. A small problem with this type of unpadded seat is that the…
