⚙️ CE Smith Trailer 15502A Square U-Bolt with Washers & Nuts, 7/16" x 3-1/8" x 3" – Ski Boat, Fishing Boat, and Sailboat Trailer Parts and Accessories Replacement Review

I ordered two of these. I hand tightened all the nuts and tightened them with a wrench. A nut was so stuck in the middle of the thread that I could no longer move it. The only way to remove the U-bolts is to break the nylon nuts. I ordered two replacements, but this time I used regular nuts, lock washers and thread lock.

I had to redo the berths on my boat trailer and have used it with another CE Smith product. The other product is fine, but right now I'm using the 4th EXTRA of it. The white bushing came loose from the nut during assembly and the nut is now tight. does not loosen and does not become tighter. I end up having to cut it off to replace it again. Like I said this has happened to me 3 times and after my 4th order which cost almost $50 I didn't want to splurge on U-bolts.

Perfect! Don't listen to the negative reviews others have left here. If you're smarter than the package they come with, they'll work just fine. The PACKAGING is made in Taiwan, NOT the hardware, it's made right here in good old USA. I just read the install instructions (new idea I know), smeared some grease on the bolt before installing the nut, and everything fell together (and apart - just to check) as intended. I recommend this product.

I've read reports of nuts getting stuck and ruining the bolt but I figured they just didn't know what they were doing I went out and bought it this. Not correct. I've turned nuts almost every day for the past 50 years and I've never heard of a bolt that required instructions, I've never oiled a bolt before running a nut, and I've never left a thread on a new mother frayed.
