🚗 CE Smith Galvanized Trailer Hub Kit, Silver - Tapered Stud (1-3/8" to 1-1/16") - 5 X 4 1/2 Review

I bought these because they are advertised as CE Smith but they are not. I used to use a CE Smith and I have a spare with a case and it doesn't look like it. Information on the hub, the hardware and also the carrying case advertised did not come through, confirming that it is not a CE Smith product. I wouldn't mind if it was advertised differently.

4 of these installed. The bushings look nice and are fairly easy to install, but one of the bushings isn't holding the lubricator. I've gone through 2 oilers on both rides since installing the hub. I got my cover with rubber insert on the first ride and the cover that came with the hubs on the second ride. The hub is defective because the caps were fitted with the correct tool. Cannot contact Revain and it has been 30 days.

Three stars due to missing parts It's a great purchase and the new axle worked perfectly but someone should check quality control there is no reason for missing parts in the sealed box. Luckily they were lug nuts and I had some on hand otherwise I would have to go out and buy new ones when I need them or I would have to deal with the seller to fix the problem. buy again. worthy value!

I bought these bushings (2) on purpose because they show that they come with a removable rubber cap so I can access the Zerk fitting that is on the end of my spindle is located. They came with a cheap tin lid. They were also not advertised with a Zerk fitting on the back of the hub, but came with one. So if you don't mind a cheap tin lid then these are fine for you. However, if you have a Zerka fitting on your spindle, do not buy it.

Very disappointed with this product due to false advertising. I received my bushings but they weren't CE Smith, they didn't come in a case as advertised and they look and feel like they're made from a fairly cheap electroplated steel alloy. They appear to be very fragile judging by the fact that I nicked them with a screwdriver when trying to hammer the caps. I will be returning these hubs and ordering from another manufacturer mainly due to false advertising.

Some reviews stated that they did not receive CE Smith parts and were not packaged in a plastic carrying case. I ordered a hub and received genuine CE Smith parts. The hub is easy to assemble and pre-lubricated. There are no complaints at all. I realized I had to replace another hub so I ordered again the next day. I received the CE Smith parts back. Bought one of these in Fall 2018 and it was great. Like other customer photos it was from CE Smith and came in a nice plastic case. I bought three more in July 2019 and they were NOT CE Smith. They didn't come in a nice plastic case, they came in boxes. In another reviewer's photo, it was 5545 GB. They may just be good, but they are NOT as advertised. If you don't need generic hubs and unnamed bearings they might fit, but if you think you're buying a CE Smith bearing, don't buy it. I'm towing…
