The same bulbs are used in the dashboards of some cars

Saved a lot of money. The same bulbs are used in the dashboards of some cars. (including my '08 Honda). You need to know what you're doing to remove the old lightbulb and put one of these in. It's a bit like putting a Christmas tree lightbulb in a green plastic holder. Honda sells lightbulbs for a few dollars each. If you can disassemble the dashboard to get to the lightbulbs, you can do this part.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Doubt

Exactly the bulbs I needed

These bulbs were just what I needed to replace some of the burned out bulbs in my Honda for some of the knobs and controls on my dash. It's not easy because you have to take the dash apart, remove the bulb socket and replace each bulb individually, but it saved me money because Honda doesn't sell the bulbs themselves, they sell the bulb and socket in one package. These are regular incandescent bulbs. So if you're looking for something brighter with whiter light, look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

1989 C/K Chevy Truck Radio Light Fixed!

1989 C/K Chevy truck that blows radio bulbs and nobody sells replacement bulbs, you have to disassemble the radio to get to the bulbs and then replace them with the old ones, reusing the original base , slightly smaller than stock so I put two bulbs on the base, the radio lights up as it should so I can see the knobs at night now. OEM amp, radio and tape deck all in one for a few hundred bucks to fix some lightbulbs lol.

Pros
  • Excellent overall specs
Cons
  • Not sure

This is where the button for the rear window heating is located.

The problem with replacing dash lights (bulbs on a 21st century Subaru - like a 1933 Buick) is that when using 12 volt bulbs you may find that the car system normally the electrics run on 13.5 volts, when charging lightbulbs that are really designed for 12 volts will burn out in a couple of months. These 14 volt bulbs are bright enough for test lights and have been working for three months now. Since the retailer is charging $8 for the bulb, including the small piece of plastic that holds it…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Compatibility

Replaced the backlight in the Silverado 2006 head unit. .

Replaced the backlight in a 2006 Silverado head unit. Worked great for all but the 2 original bulbs. These 2 are a bit bigger but these still worked fine. Be careful when removing the blue silicone caps. One of mine broke and I had to use RTV silicone to reattach it. If you don't replace the covers, the backlight will be orange instead of the bluish white of the original bulbs and will not match the rest of the dashboard lighting. Will probably buy them again to help a friend fix his radio.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Very Expensive
