The company sent revised instructions within hours.

The manufacturer informed us that the power to the light comes from a switch or in our case a switch as the original lights in the vans had internal switches that had to be turned off and on in order to get the light working connect to a remote control. After receiving the revised instructions, thanks to Revain reviews, the cleaning was complete in less than a minute. Bright light, lousy installation design and hardware, VERY noticeable switch-on delay

The luminaire comes with an LED driver that can be separated from the luminaire itself. This is both a blessing and a problem as vertical space for an LED driver is very limited. If you put it in a box, it's better to put the driver in a box. The bracket that comes with the flashlight is really flimsy and the holes don't fit the US box. Therefore, expect to drill the bracket. Not repairable, but annoying. Your "ground wire" is connected to the bracket via a screw and it's not like it's out of…

Do not buy for lighting and ceiling fans

This product is poorly designed with cheap materials. First its installation. It has a crossbar attached to the ceiling box. When flush mounted to a ceiling box, there is approximately 1/4 inch clearance between the crossbar and the ceiling. This means that there is a gap between the lamp and the ceiling. This is inherently bad for "flush" light. But then you add that the lantern is attached to the crossbar with two screws, one on each side. This means that your flashlight can swing back and…

Great light but with some limitations

Update: Star Docking. Although we didn't connect immediately, I did learn that this light was actually interfering with my two local OTA TV channels (antennas). When this indicator is lit, these two channels are completely disabled. Disruptions are that bad. I have no choice but to look for another light. Ok, I really like this light. My bedroom is quite small, even for a bedroom, so the 18 watt light is really too bright for normal everyday use. But I'm a bit fidgety and need a bright light…
