Doesn't separate properly from my Nikons!

T-ring fits snugly and snaps into place. When trying to take it off, after pressing the power button on the camera and rotating the T-ring, it never finds a position where it can be easily removed from the camera. It doesn't stop where it's removed, it just keeps spinning! It took a long time for the D500 to remove it. With the D610 we never thought it would come off at all! Finally it worked after much manipulation. This ring can easily damage your camera.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • So-so

You still need a separate T-ring for this

I'm giving 3 stars because the product description is misleading. If you want to connect to your Celestron telescope, that alone won't help, so I think the description should state that explicitly. To do this, you need to buy a T-ring adapter. That's right, you need an adapter for your adapter. It also doesn't come with thumbscrews. Again, this is just a lens adapter for your camera that fits into a separate T-ring adapter. Other than that, it looks pretty solid.

  • Excellent overall performance

lose the ability to use camera settings

Just so you know I bought this to attach a DSLR to binoculars. However, you will lose the ability to use many of your camera's features, such as B. Auto focus, metering or even spot focus. You must use the scope's manual focus. You need to know the aperture and focal length of the scope you're attached to so you can set the correct ISO and shutter speed for the lighting conditions. still with a DSLR lens attached. Every camera lens has filter threads, why can't anyone figure out how to…

Disappointment with the lens accessories

T-mount for Nikon cameras - I use it with Z7. But unlike a Nikon lens it's hard to put in and I always feel like I'll yank the camera mount and then get it hard. As a result, I will stop using it. Not worth risking something scratching the connector as I have trouble aligning and locking it properly. With the connection tube attached to the NexStar 8, I tried to photograph wildlife (not planets) in daylight as it gives a good impression of the optics. While the image is sharp through the…

Works great and is the perfect size for Nikon DSLRs (D80)

same as clicking in my fancy/expensive lenses. It didn't require any extra pressure to snap into place, and in no way did I feel like it didn't fit perfectly (some other reviewers seem to have had issues with the fit). It even snaps into place just like my regular lenses (you have to press the little lens release button on the camera body to remove it, just like a regular lens). I have an 8" Celestron telescope and all I had to do to get a picture was this item (T-ring) as well as a T-ring…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

  • Speed

This T-ring helps secure the Nikon F-mount camera body to the telescope associate. Depending on the telescope, you usually need another part: T-adapter with thread = sr_1_8?keywords=t-adapter&qid=1579581211&s=electronics&sr=1-8) or 2" focal T-adapter (e.g. https:// www.amazon.com /gp/product/B01LY1NGDO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie= UTF8&psc= 1) or focal tee 1.25". The camera is connected as follows: telescope <- T-piece <- T-ring <- camera. The T-piece is screwed onto or…
