Not very bright for an LED bulb

It worked but I was disappointed with the brightness - it wasn't enough. Well, Mag Lite still makes a convincing baton in the dark.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not bad

No Answer. in bulbs

Despite the assurances of other buyers, this does NOT fit my 2 DD cell flashlight! I need a two prong lightbulb as the base of the lightbulb. The photo shows a base with two bulbs.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Everything is ok

I'm not trying again.

This bulb was recommended as a replacement for our night flashlight. It has a lightbulb with two exposed wires that need to be attached, but I couldn't get it to light up. We bought another flashlight identical to the first one and the bulb burned out the first night. I won't try again

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some issues

Better than the original?

I don't know how to rate this product as I don't find it brighter or better than the original which would be significant enough to be noticeable. I think the only plus will be that it's an LED and should work "forever". So in the end I can't say anything good or bad about the product other than that it works just as well as the original.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • volume

There's nothing wrong with this giant flashlight.

I was able to figure out how to install this "update" with a bit of hair-tugging, but it didn't fix anything with that expensive, oversized flashlight. The batteries were there for a while so I reordered although I don't understand how they could go bad. If you do it in Maglite you'll pay almost $20 shipping!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Dead firefly gives more light

Very disappointed with these bulbs! I thought I could upgrade my 2D magnet lights with these bulbs to make them brighter than they are now. No way! They were barely as bright as the old bulbs and the focus pattern was far off. Even with fresh new batteries, my AAA flashlight pen produced more light! I think I will replace my magnetic lights with new LED lights.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Available in white only

It's not quite as bright, but it's ok.

This replaced a blown bulb so I'm not sure if it's as bright as the original. The lantern is at least 16 years old and may be much older. When new, this would be considered a very bright light. Now it's not that bright with that spare bulb as I have six "tactical" flashlights of different size, weight and price that are much brighter than that old magazine with the new bulb; None of these cost as much as a new mag, but none were as heavy as a D-battery mag. Today at Revain you can get two small

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
