Central Power Kohler Small Filter Review

There is not much to say about the product. This is an OEM filter. Good chances if you order it you are familiar with the quality and so on. It was exactly the part shown in the photo and exactly what was originally in my Lawnboy. Price deserves 4th star. Better price than anything I could find locally.

I found the filter in the spare parts list for my mower and ordered it. When I received it it didn't fit and I had to buy the right one elsewhere. I sent it back and found that it would cost more to ship than I paid for it, so I sort of ate it.

I have a Kohler XT 6.5 that should fit this filter. The paper part of the filter fitted snugly, but the blue frame didn't. I had to shorten the frame a bit horizontally and vertically to make it fit. Without this modification, the air filter cover would not close. It's fine, but you expect an exact match when you buy an OEM part.

OEM Kohler so I assume it will work fine. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had to cut 1/8" off each end and 1/8" off one side to make it fit comfortably. It's okay, but the regular filter should fit perfectly. I read other reviews where people had the same problem but I ordered it anyway as they said it was an easy fix and it is.

Perfect fit. Recently changed the air filter. And let me tell you, the way the lawn mower works would make a huge difference if I didn't change the air filter. I highly recommend that you change your air filter at least once a year. If you use it every summer and even the occasional fall, I'd probably replace it as often as possible. It's worth the money and it's a quick fix to improve the engine performance of your petrol lawn mower.

This filter is a perfect fit for the Kohler XT650 engine air filter on my 21" Lawn-Boy lawnmower, model number 10732. From the charts of the various Parts I found online, it looks like this engine can be fitted with at least three different air filters, each requiring a different filter size.
