Pixel XL Fast Charge

I bought several different cables to find ones that would allow me to fast charge my Pixel XL. This cable definitely charges my phone fast.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Good but not great

PD 100W for everything!

Bought for use with multiple Macbook Pro 15s - great quality and everything charges at top speed. Also used to charge the iPad Pro. Also used to charge <insert USB-c device here>. Recommendation 10/10. I have used CableMatters products for many years and they are a great cable manufacturer/seller with a solid reputation.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Perfect for the Price

These cables work just as well as Anker cables. When I use a USB-C hub and an 87W Apple adapter, it runs at 72W. When powered without a hub, it runs at 87 watts. This is the exact number of Apple and Anker cables, and these cables don't get hot at either end. This is due to the use of an isolated screen.

Be careful if this is a docking station!

I bought this to connect to the docking station for my Lenovo X1 Yoga. It *kinda* works - I get power, LAN and audio, but it doesn't recognize a monitor that I plug into the dock. To be honest the product description says it does NOT support video so I'm sorry I didn't see that before I bought it.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Great Price Cable - Cables & Interconnects

I needed a universal cable to charge my Macbook with a third party charger and The Wirecutter recommended this cable. It works great and is great for its price. I've also used it to transfer files from external drives but it's USB 2.0 only and slow compared to USB 3.0 but works fine when you need it. The cable looks pretty sturdy and has survived a month at home in various backpacks and briefcases. Good value for money if you need a charging cable.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Questionable Senior Buy

MacBook Pro users, stay away!

Stay away if you have a Macbook Pro! This cable is thick and heavy and anything but thin. However, the piece of metal that fits my Mac seems thinner or slightly smaller than the factory one. This keeps breaking contact and breaking my Mac. What's even more annoying is how often it just falls out of the USB-C port. I think my Mac is only charging to get a low battery warning. I look down and see that string just fell out again. I would not buy these again.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Most plugs fit USB cable

Nice cable and it works. At least not aesthetically. The plug is huge (a full inch long) so you can easily grab it even if your thumb is two inches in diameter. You could probably use your elbows to grab him as well. I suspect that's what the engineers had in mind when they designed these connectors. If you're like 99.9% of people with a normal-sized thumb (about half an inch wide), you find this plug ugly and oversized. I'll keep looking for cables with smaller connectors, about halfway front…

Pros
  • good thing
Cons

update : I've had the cable the whole 2 months and now not only does it not stay in any slot it's plugged into, but you have to struggle to even get it in. This thing really isn't worth it. Actually I was looking for a long USB-C to USB-C cable to charge my laptop and other devices and this cable seemed to fit the bill. I couldn't find anything else suitable. For the most part, this is a good cable that delivers plenty of power and is fairly durable. But it won't stay connected to my laptop…

Good quality and good price

These cables are usually overpriced. You can come up with any excuse you like , but there are really no excuses for some prices however I felt the price of this phone was fair and I am happy with my purchase Bought for use in my 3rd gen Tacoma which has a Hondo Garage Unholey mount used for my phone I needed a 1m USB-C to USB-C cable so I didn't have a cable that was too small or too big to tie through the dash with the dash clips, to keep things organized. USB C opened up a world of pain when…

There should be a better deal

My OnePlus phone has a 27w charger. I just bought a nice little Aukey charger to keep it going, but I needed a cable. If you look at the specs (and you really should with a purchase like this), most $12-$15 cables are limited to 15W. I found an Anker cable that certainly fits the bill, but it costs $20. For $10, this is a cable with excellent build quality that can handle 100 watts. I will also be able to use it for my Chromebook. This might seem expensive compared to the days when micro USB…
