Lightning connectors are cheaply made, so while the cable itself appears pretty strong, the working end on three of them is now broken off. A spike broke in the iPad itself and Apple told us there was nothing they could do to fix it other than replace the iPad. Luckily for us, the last attempt was successful. Buyer warning!

These lines were bought in a pack of three and are used all the time. In the 6 months they've owned them, they've held up and never caused me any connection issues. They are durable and never fall short like others I've bought in the past. I like the red color which makes them easy to spot when looking for them and they have a very well secured plug which I find difficult to break. If I need more, I look to the same brand.

Braided cables are great because 1) they don't tangle as much and 2) they last longer than traditional rubber-covered cables. I have used many braided cables and they are not all the same. Many still do not have a plug/connector retainer and therefore still fall apart at this junction and soon deteriorate as the braid wears and the wires are exposed. Finally a good cable that has lasted a month and is still going strong. They sell what they say! Every month or so I try other brands of inexpensive, well-reviewed Lightning cables that turn out to be crappy defective cables that fail within days or weeks.
