If you've never changed your cabin air filter, do it!

After a few years I realized that I had never changed the cabin air filter in my car, so I ordered this replacement from FRAM. When I removed the old filter I was shocked to find such a thick layer of dust and dirt that I even wondered how air could get through. After installing the replacement FRAM, I immediately noticed the difference. Not only did my air conditioner breathe new life, but after a few days the musty smell in my car (which I attributed to age) started to go away. I'm a bit…

Fixed Filter on Filter

We've been using these for a while. fixed filters. They pass better and last longer than Fram N95 cabin filters, probably because they are not as effective at filtering fine particles. We prefer the Fram N95 type when driving in areas where wildfire smoke is a problem. They don't completely remove the odor, but I didn't do an A/B test to see how much odor is removed. I still smell cattle feed as I drive past them in the American countryside. They are fairly easy to fit into our Sienna minivans.

Factory had 1/8 inch holes

This overpriced cabin filter is not worth the money, they were all factory holes. The largest hole was in the top right of the picture, it was a whopping 1/8 inch. There were many other holes as well, it's made so thin that it's full of little holes for light to pass through. gluing about 5 holes which were quite large for a cabin air filter. The cheaper cabin air filter I replaced didn't have all of these holes. I am very disappointed as I thought I was paying extra money, I wanted a better…

Perfect fit for Prius 2004-2009

I have a 2005 Prius and it fits me perfectly. Replacing the stock cabin air filter with the CF9846A is one of the easiest upgrades you can make to a 2004-2009 Prius, not to mention the easiest maintenance item overall and a very worthwhile one. If you plan to pay $10 for another manufacturer's paper filter, just add another $5 for the odor removal that this filter has. And whatever filter you choose, just do it. Instructions are easy to find on YouTube, Tutorial, etc. In 3 minutes online you…

Great filter, easy DIY installation. better than OEM

Tired of charging A LOT in a 5 minute filter change almost everywhere? I got this for my 2008 Prius and you can install it yourself in under 5 minutes for practically no cost. Never pay 120€ at the dealer again. Your CAF is located behind the glove box. To get there you need to open the glove box and leave it open to the end. Empty the glove box. If you don't, you'll be clearing the contents of the glove box off the floor when you're done changing the CAF. The next step is to look to the right…

Great filter for the price and way better than Toyota OEM

This is the second time I've ordered this filter for my 2007 FJ Cruiser. While I lived in town, OEM was fine, but too expensive for what it was, and paying a dealer over $60 to replace this easy-to-replace filter is rude. This takes a maximum of 3 minutes and please do not hesitate to remove the glove compartment. It is so easy. You just push the sides in, pull down and it comes out. To reattach the hooks under the glove box and on the box frame, press down on the sides to hold the box in…

Fresh Breeze smells good and is cheap

I have a 2003 Toyota 4Runner SR5 and it is recommended to change the cabin air filter every 15,000 miles or once a year. The dealer is asking about sixty bucks for this little crap so I decided to try it myself and found a FRAM CF9846A Fresh Breeze cabin filter at Revain. After researching the installation (video is available on YouTube by searching "Car Cabin Filter Replacement, Toyotal 4Runner 2003") and purchasing this Revain product, I saved money and believe I have found a better product…
