Description of ๐Ÿด CHALLENGER Western Horse Saddle Stirrups - Engraved Aluminium Oxbow (51183)

5" Width,5-1/2" Height,3" Neck,1-5/8" Tread. Silver/Tan. Challenger western oxbow stirrups made of durable aluminum. Features leather accents and a rubber grip tread to help with slippage. Measurements: 5 1/2" Width 5 1/2" Height 3" Neck 1 5/8" Tread. Oxbow stirrups are rounded, snug-fitting stirrups that are designed so that the arch of the rider's foot, rather than the ball of the foot, sits across the base of the stirrup. The name comes from the stirrup's resemblance to the U-shaped oxbows that were used as the collar for actual oxen when they were attached to a yoke.

Excellent Western Stirrups!

As someone who spends a lot of time in the Sports and Outdoors category, I recently tried out these new stirrups and was blown away! As my tests showed, they were incredibly sturdy and well-made, perfect for any equestrian sports enthusiast. The engraved details are simply beautiful and add a touch of elegance to any western gear. The only downside was the higher price point, but considering the quality and durability of the product, it's definitely worth the investment. Overall, I highlyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish engraved design adds a personalized touch to traditional stirrups.
Cons
  • May not fit all types of western saddles due to the unique shape and size of the stirrups.

Excellent quality! for other sports

Based on the price I wasn't expecting anything special. I just needed new stirrups. They are definitely worth every penny and more. The aluminum is thick but not too heavy and the engraved sides give them a nice eye catching look.

Pros
  • 5" wide, 5-1/2" tall, 3" neck, 1-5/8" gauge
Cons
  • Almost never

Not worth it.: Other sports

We only have 6 months left. They are stored in a gear room away from the elements and have only been in continuous use for about 4 months and broke when my husband was in full sprint and started berating his horse with leg press while working with our cows. I think you really get what you pay for, but I expected them to last more than a few months.

Pros
  • Oxbow stirrups are rounded, snug fitting stirrups designed to allow the arch of the rider's foot, rather than the arch of the foot, to sit over the base of the stirrup. The name comes from the stirrup's resemblance to the U-shaped ox bows used as collars for real oxen when attached to a yoke.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
