Excellent Extension

This 2 ft 5/16" extension is ideal for lengthening hex bits. A small wrench to hold the set screws in place. The other end is a 5/16 hex wrench that fits very securely in my cordless drill.

Pros
  • Electric Drill Parts and Accessories
Cons
  • Some Little Things

The set screws are stripped.

The threads of the adjusting screws were torn out after the 3rd or 4th use. At the time I was using a 2" hole saw. Drilling and tapping new holes didn't seem to help. They just popped up again. Either the steel is too soft or the wall of the drill that holds the set screw is too thin. I'll do something try something else.

Pros
  • Drill
Cons
  • Expensive

like mine in auger bits

This is a quality product but I had to return it as no dimensions were given and ultimately it didn't meet my needs. The MALE (what you put in your drill) shank is 5/16" in diameter and the INNER (where you put the drill in) has an ID of 3/8" and the INNER is 5/8" OD. VERY important information! If you have a 1/2" drill bit like mine, you cannot use it as an extension as the 5/8" socket on this adapter will not clear your drill's 1/2" hole. !

Pros
  • Power tool parts and accessories
Cons
  • Not sure
