🔌 Champion 7440 Spark Plug - Double Platinum Power (Pack of 6) Review

Wrangler JKU 3.8L Replacement for all six connectors and wires came "buried" but I checked the gaps anyway. Everything was perfect, but I always recommend checking the quality of the product! So far I can say that the engine starts better and runs smoother. Less lag when accelerating. Let's see if they hold up! Anyway, I'm not worried and I'm satisfied with the product. This is an OEM by the manufacturer.

Original Champion spark plugs on this Dodge have done 120,000 miles and the car still ran fine; why risk anything else as a substitute? I have always been a proponent of using original equipment wherever possible and that is what is required. I confess I would never put a European or Japanese engine in a Champ, but I won't put anything else on a Dodge. It's never been a bad choice and I've been doing it for a long time.

Please note in the photo that there is no ordinary cardboard tube to protect the electrode. This allows the electrode to be easily bent during transport. Two of the six I received had to be re-split. Some of the plugs floated outside of the boxes in the bubble mailbox used for shipping. There is a lot of room for improvement here in both packaging and packaging. After looking at the comments, I'm not the only one with this problem. This product may require special shipping instructions.

I am not yet sure about the quality of the plugs themselves. I assume they will be fine as Champion has always made spark plugs. Low score for absolutely terrible packaging. The plugs were tossed into a large envelope, half of them falling out of their individual boxes and dangling everywhere. Only one of the six was properly gapped and one connector was quite bent (see picture). These were the originals in my minivan. They were long overdue for change, but they never failed. Replaced them with the same ones and they work great. One of the old plugs was very difficult to get out, probably because they had to be replaced a while back. This is a good replacement connector for my Jeep JK. You can't go wrong with Champion. They've been there forever. Remember that they are not pre-skipped. Make sure you have a splitting tool so you can split them to your vehicle's specs. I checked each one as I took them out of the box and the gaps ranged from .43 to .57 with one completely sealed with no gap. I needed 0.50. Everything is easy to fix with gap tool. Caution. The title says there are six in a pack. You sent me one. I am looking forward to more. Modern engines are built around one spark plug and one spark plug only. This is the decal on the hood of your Chrysler. On some vehicles on a sticker on the engine and/or in the manual. Do not try to use other candles as some suggest and I fell victim to the bypass.
