Terribly good, best in seasonal lighting

Used for my 2017 Halloween display to control Frightprops LED micro spotlights with my Scaremaster controller and worked great!

Works alone but doesn't mix well with others

I've tested several samples of this unit, all with the same results: 1) Works well in non-DMX mode with the correct color. 2) Works well in DMX mode *on its own* (no other devices in the DMX chain). 3) *does* not work properly in DMX mode when added to an existing DMX setup. Same results with RJ45 or XLR connections. The LED strips were still lit with all three DMX channels set to zero. Another DMX decoder in the same setup works fine. I have a working DMX decoder…

This works partially at the moment.

I'm only giving 2 stars because it partially works. I have blue and green colors that work with my DMX controller but for some reason it turns off when I get to red or close to red on the color palette. I then have to switch it to blue or green on the controller, unplug the power supply and plug it back in, after that it only works with those colors. I thought there might be a problem with the LED strip so I unplugged it and did the same with the new LED strip I connected to it. I checked the…

We tested the concept of LED (strip) devices.

We tested the concept of LED (tape) devices controlled by our Grand MA computer. These devices were old VersaTubes that we disassembled and converted into a standard LED strip with an input and output connector. We used this controller to test our ability to connect multiple tubes together by running it in self-test mode. In this mode we could see that all the colors were properly connected by those cute little wires. After this phase we reset the DMX switches for DMX control and confirmed that

  • Good stuff

  • No instructions

DMX controlled LED, cheap, good result.

I bought this decoder along with 2 x 16.4ft LEDWholesalers Color Changing LED Flexible LED Strips and 12V 4Amp 48W LEDWholesalers AC Adapter. Several connectors and extension cords are also in stock. This gave me about 32 feet of DMX controlled color changing LED strips for less than $80. The color profiles were a little skewed but that was due to my controller as the color read correctly when set to offline settings. the decay profile wasn't the smoothest (I'm a lighting designer so that's…

Good product! I am buying four of these devices for .

Great product! I bought four of these devices for DMX-controlled stage lighting and can recommend these DMX decoders without reservation. A very well made, reliable and touring product. The only caveat - and I'm collecting fluff - is that the mounting holes for the device are a bit closer to the body, making it impossible to use the most common sizes. Hardware screws (even if the screw diameter is perfect, all screw heads were too wide for that). After having thousands of screws at home and…
