Does not turn on automatically. Installing this in a modern car that uses key power means you have to manually press the power button every time you turn the car on. Terrible design to use a button instead of a switch. Even better would be a latching relay inside so the button can work regardless of the type of power supply.

I installed this on 04/10/21 in my 2014 F250 6.7 Platinum. I removed the factory plug and put this in its place. This works as a voltmeter and USB charger. Another cheap Chinese crap, poorly assembled with no quality control. The only thing that worked on it was a voltmeter. The USB-C port caused an issue with my iPad that caused the battery to drain for two hours. I got it back in less than 3 hours... EDIT: I bought four of these, now none of them work!

What a bargain! That's exactly what I need for my boat. It was a direct replacement for a standard 12 volt outlet. We can now charge our phones on the boat. The most important thing for me was the on/off switch. I really needed it to be able to turn it off completely so it wouldn't drain the batter when not being used with a phantom charge. Time will tell how well it holds up, but it looks great.

One of my 12 volt outlets had failed so I wanted to replace it. I found this one with a built in voltmeter so I decided to buy it. Couldn't be happier, no dash trim modifications required. All I had to do was cut the +/- wires from the original 12v and weld the included wires to it. Works great, only gets a little warm when phone is charging at 48W, no need to worry.

The only negative. The switch must be on for the USB and USB-c ports to work. The button is tiny and can be painful when pressed. Also, the installation took about 10 minutes. Fast charging works well. Not sure how many watts it draws, but my Pixel 4 charges very well and quickly. In general, I would buy another without a switch. Like I said, the switch is tiny and painful to press.

I installed this charging socket on my couch in the cup holder compartment. I used the power cord from an old laptop for the power supply. That works fine. However, my expectations of the charging performance were not met. Update: build quality is poor. The USB-C port is free. Keeps no cable contact.
