I received this because the Garmin description didn't say it was included. I'm glad I have an extra one as now I don't have to move it from one car to another every time I drive another car. I'm also glad it fits as many aftermarket items are a little off.

I bought this to use in my second car so it would be easier to swap out when GPS is needed. I installed the device without connecting the GPS, drove the car for 2 days and the device broke in two. The suction part was still firmly attached to the windshield, but the rubber between the suction cup and the mount had snapped. Instead of messing around with a return I will try to salvage the device with epoxy. I will update the review after the epoxy has dried and I can try the device again. UPDATE

First I wrote my review saying it works as advertised. This was before trying to install the mounting bracket on the 50LM. As other users have said. DO NOT BUY for this product, it will not fit because it is physically smaller than the OEM mount. The only positive thing is that the suction cup works great with the OEM mount so I can still use it in my second car, I just have to remember to always carry the stock GPS mount.
