    Design flaw - doesn't stay on

    I really need this for work and the suction is good BUT you can't tighten it enough to keep the radar detector from falling off. I've tried tightening it with pliers and it still flops after a few hits. It looks like the suction cup was made for another product and they were trying to adapt it for a radar detector and their shape just doesn't fit so you can't tighten it tight enough.

    You get what you pay for

    This mount sits an inch lower on my Escort 360 Max rendering the detector ineffective. Solution? Move it higher on the windshield, or rather, to the center of the windshield! The irony is that the instructions say not to place it where it would block visibility. but only here it fits! Not recommended for sloped/angled windshields (which all are). Just buy genuine OEM radar detector mounts. save yourself the trouble.

    Not worth it: Car Accessories

    *** Update #2 *** I have contacted the company/seller. A new suction cup was sent to me promptly. It won't even stand up, let alone the weight of the radar detector. A complete waste of money. Do not buy this product. Update *** in a few months the bracket will make the radar detector sag a lot. There is no way to pull up. These are the internal parts that wear out. Don't waste your money. *** Original thought - better than the original bracket that came with the radar detector!

    The sticky residue is good for radar detectors

    Although it started great, the sticky part melted a bit. Then the entire mount and radar detector start sliding across the windshield leaving a very, very sticky adhesive on the glass. I cleaned and reinstalled the mount but it started sliding off leaving more sticky material on the windshield. It took 4 rounds of Goo-Gone and paper towels to get it off. I ordered a different mount. It is desirable that I get my money back as this product did not last even a few months. I would definitely…

    Sub-Par is a poor aftermarket product

    I thought it was very close to the bracket that originally came with the radar detector. I should have realized that this was a much cheaper imitation that had good suction, but all other mechanics were very poor. When I inserted my detector into the mount - I tried several times but it didn't align properly - and was always crooked. It's hard to describe but trust me when I say it was a poor mount for a super quality radar detector. Luckily I bought an OEM mount for another ESCORT radar…

    I use this GPS mount on my cruiser. So far it has worked very well. In my case, the installation was a bit tedious due to my windshield and my choice of installation location.     First of all I was on holiday and had to replace the windshield mount for my Escort Passport Max 2 radar detector due to a broken fastener. After looking around and realizing that my options for what I could get quickly and affordably were slim (the OEM escort mount was 3 times larger and I didn't know when I would get it), I decided to try this mount.
