This is the perfect GPS mount for my Garmin. It attaches well to the air vent and keeps the GPS right where I need it. The spring-loaded clip can be rotated as needed to mount vertical or horizontal louvers. The depth of the venting blade should be less than 1 inch. Some people have complained that the ball diameter is too small, causing the GPS to be too loose. If this happens, simply wrap one end of the tape around the ball so it's a snug fit. This mount worked great initially, it was solid and strong. Stand up to look at the screen, when I'm done it falls back down. I've tried mounting it at different heights, I've tried mounting it at different angles, but it's actually more effort than it's worth. I bought it even though there were reviewers who said the ball was too small and warned that the device was too heavy and this could happen. It's a great design, but there is one major flaw that needs to be fixed.

Handy thing, I've been using it for a little over a month. I like it for several reasons. It doesn't obstruct my view, it doesn't show on the windshield that I have GPS in my car and it's easy to adjust from the driver's seat and the driver doesn't make any weird movements! My little vent and I converted it from a Chevy Sonic to a Ford Freestyle with no problem. I have to admit that taking it off can be difficult at times, but a little patience can go a long way. Works well so far. I bought it mainly for business trips where I use many different types of rental cars, so being able to work in both horizontal and vertical vents is a big plus. So far I've only been able to test it on my machine, but it fits great and is very stable. The device seems pretty solid, but we'll see how it holds up to the rigors of travel.
