The included wing nuts are difficult to use

The included wing nuts are difficult to use in the limited space behind the mirror, I placed the wing nuts at the end of the bracket. The screws are not slotted for either a Phillips or standard screwdriver.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expandable

No No for applicants

To install this mirror you will need a neck of about 2 inches on the mirror. The 2015 Challenger doesn't have enough room to mount, it bumps into the plastic mirror trim and prevents you from adjusting the mirror, a quality thing, albeit not for my car.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No instructions

Dodge Durango 2018 rt with Uniden R7

Compared to others that cost over $100 I didn't want to buy it until I saw this. A dime with everything. Installation was a bit tricky and I won't be able to lower the rearview mirror that far. But it works fine. Doesn't jump at all. eye level.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Suitable for lightweight detectors

Easy to install if space is available. I have uniden dfr1 and it works great. The bracket does not sag when colliding with the ass. However, it is plastic. All plastic. If you have a heavier or larger detector I would recommend paying $30 for the all metal version. Overall a good mount for light detectors.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • No

Fits 2021 Supra but had to buy shorter bolts

Decent fitment. I'm having trouble getting it tight enough to hold the radar in the desired position, but haven't cranked it very tight yet. The price isn't that bad. Had to buy shorter screws to make it work for my application as there isn't much room above the mirror. Overall I think it will do what I need it to do.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Upgrades

Great price while it works!9)

Arrived quickly, easy to install. I have my doubts about how well it will hold up in use. It's mostly plastic. When accelerating hard, braking, not to mention cornering, there are a lot of forces. Since I'm plastic, I slowly tighten the hinges. It only had a short time with it, so I'll update it if it gets harder later or something breaks.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Cheap, cumbersome and won't hold position

Installed on a Jeep Wrangler, with plenty of room around the rearview mirror. The screws protrude about an inch beyond the mirror, which is annoying but tolerable. What is counter-intuitive, however, is this mount's inability to actually hold the metal detector - the 2-in-3 part of the mount (the part that looks like the GoPro mount) just doesn't tighten enough and the detector sags instantly as languid as Austin Powers thinking of naked Margaret Thatcher on a cold day. (This is on the Uniden…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Great price, still works! 9)

Pros
  • No more problems with suction cups and fits most vehicles min. / Corvette and a short stem car)
Cons
  • Small things
