Easy to use and empty, keeps the water hot for a long time.

I love this urn! Easy to use. Keeps water hot. Easy to empty. I take it out every Shabbat and keep it for a week. He kept the water hot during the 2 day holiday. I definitely recommend it highly 👍

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Not as advertised, suitable for combined boiler and heater

It was useless for what it was advertised for. It boiled so hard it spilled even when not full and never switched to heat after boiling. To stop the process, it must be disabled. This will stop the auto button from working, making it worse than any other hot pot. Finally, after 30 minutes without electricity, it was nothing more than lukewarm water.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Strong, stable, reliable

I bought this kettle 6 months ago to enjoy hot tea on Shabbat. It performs really well and the water stays really nice and hot. The lock feature is perfect if you are a Shomer Shabbat. My wife hasn't had hot tea in the summer but once the weather gets colder we've had this kettle running all week for about two months and everything works fine. Good product!

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Updates available

Worked for a year then it started to rust.

I will say that this device has served me well for the first year with me. Closer to the year mark, however, the cover rusted a bit. I removed the rust, cleaned it completely and continued to use it. A few weeks later, when it was next emptied, the lid was even more rusted along with some of the internal metal plating (pics attached). I then decided it was done and that it should be replaced.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

More work than it's worth.

I drink hot tea all day and was looking for something to keep the water hot and easily accessible all day. Now I heat water over the stove. That wasn't an answer for me. It has been cooking for a long time. This place was cheesy and water was spilling onto the counter (I don't know if it was from steam or a leak, but the counter was a wet mess). I couldn't drink tea even after boiling and pouring three teapots because of the plastic taste. It may have gone away over time as the manufacturer…

Pros
  • This is amazing

  • Neutral

Pump vs Coffee Maker

It took me a while to decide what to replace our coffee maker with as we used it for hot water rather than coffee. So I finally decided on a hot water pump. He's a lot bigger than I thought. If I could change the features it would be the ON-OFF controls. You have to enable or disable it to control it. He also suggests emptying the pot every time and removing the lid to empty. I am 75 and have problems with my hands. The cover is not easy to remove, it is heavy. Another thing I would change is…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Can't remember
