Pump vs Coffee Maker

It took me a while to decide what to replace our coffee maker with as we used it for hot water rather than coffee. So I finally decided on a hot water pump. He's a lot bigger than I thought. If I could change the features it would be the ON-OFF controls. You have to enable or disable it to control it. He also suggests emptying the pot every time and removing the lid to empty. I am 75 and have problems with my hands. The cover is not easy to remove, it is heavy. Another thing I would change is the water level sensor. I can't see the water level. If it were possible to place a colored float where you can see the buoyancy and amount of water it would be very helpful. Warms well. Very hot. It stays hot for a very long time. It boils up again. But you have to pull the plug to turn it off. real lag. But the pump itself is good. Either manual or electronic button.
