Chef'n Bananza banana cutter

Product arrived on time and as described. This creates very clean/uniform banana slices, which can be very helpful when dehydrating. This kitchen tool can save you a lot of time and make the same slices as you need. I definitely recommend this banana cutter.

Pros
  • Delicious
Cons

False advertising

Saw the chef's banana cutter in the box and barrel, looked for the product on Revain, found this one and claimed it was exactly the same but cheaper, get the product with one curved box. Speaking of which, as seen on TV, it was cheap plastic, cheap metal, similar to a slicer, very different from what he says. False advertising and false brand!

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Poor set

The plastic is a bit cheap, but the metal is catchy.

The plastic is a bit cheap and the metal sticks to the plastic. So I have to bend the metal to fit in between. If they fix it, 5 stars. Use it regularly to slice/slice bananas for dehydration. Too bad that a small cleaning brush was included. Bananas get stuck between metal discs. Difficult to clean in and out.

  • Glitter

Works amazingly well and is easy to clean

I'm replacing a model with plastic blades that were very bent and eventually broke. This has held up well for many months. It is very durable and is a banana guillotine. It can be easily cleaned by hand with a brush. Haven't tried using a dishwasher but looks like it'll survive just fine. My advice is to clean it up right away as it's easy. Once the banana dries up, it will be difficult to remove. I love that you can erase the entire perimeter of the blade by pressing on it.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

A smart, funny conversation starter!

Love this thing! We use it to cut bananas for our mobile gastronomy and guests keep commenting on how smart it is. Our employees also love simplicity. This adds an element of interest and is definitely a conversation starter. Our first one broke after a few months and guests were asking where it was! For the cost and how much we use it, this is definitely one of our best buys. It doesn't bother me at all that one of them broke. I would recommend washing them as soon as possible after use as the

Chef'n Bananza

The Chef'n Bananza works very well. I dehydrate fruit. It cuts 6 banana slices very quickly and easily. Two small things keep this tool from being perfect in my book. First, place your thumb on top to apply pressure to cut. Once I got my thumb to close the front blades (it's easy) and I cut myself. If they put a little guard between the blades and where you press, that would solve the problem. I'm going to make one out of a piece of PVC pipe (plastic water pipe) and glue it in place. Second, of

I use it every day, works great

I got this as a gift about two years ago and have used it every day with my morning routine of coffee and oatmeal - always with bananas unless I forget to buy more . I don't know why, but I never get bored of bananas in oatmeal. Other fruits get bored in less than a week, even mangoes. I washed the slicer every day and shook it dry, but was unaware that if I left it upright on the dish rack, water would drip onto the source. I think two years of good service is enough, so I just ordered another
